Company History
TODAY
Golf Tech Maschinenvertriebs GmbH in Münster/Westphalia is the general importer for the entire machine programme of the Textron Group in golf and municipal technology, with the brands Ransomes, Jacobsen and E-Z-GO for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Poland and Croatia.
The company has many years of experience in municipal and golf course technology. It also distributes turf care machines from the brands Turfco, Smithco and others. Golf Tech Maschinenvertriebs GmbH emerged from the German Ransomes branch, which was founded in Münster more than 45 years ago.
2012
In order to make better use of synergies with the sister company Golf Tech Golfartikelvertriebs GmbH, established in 1988, and to position itself even more strongly on the market as a provider of golf course and turf maintenance machines, the company changes its name to:
Golf Tech Maschinenvertriebs GmbH
2002
The investors – the T.C.R. Group under Thomas Reiter – together with managing director Alfons Gottemeyer and EPHL Beteiligungs GmbH, take over the company from the TEXTRON Group and work as an independent importer for TEXTRON Turf Care products. The product groups Ransomes, Cushman, Ryan, Jacobsen and E-Z-GO are distributed, imported from England and the USA. In addition to Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the sales territory is extended to Hungary and Croatia.
The company name changes to:
TTC – The TURF CARE COMPANY GmbH
At the same time, the T.C.R. corporate group also developed in other business areas and, based on a 3-pillar strategy (golf-technology-real estate), expanded its business into 3 areas with over 200 employees and annual revenue beyond the €70 million mark.
1998
The TEXTRON Group acquires Ransomes plc. in Ipswich. Ransomes GmbH, Münster, takes over the activities of Jacobsen E-Z-GO Textron GmbH in Eutingen-Weitingen; distribution of Jacobsen products is integrated into Münster, and the company is renamed Ransomes-Jacobsen GmbH. The sales territory is now extended from Germany to also include Austria and Switzerland.
1989
The sales territory is expanded; a large part of the neighbouring European countries are now served from Münster, and the name changes again to Ransomes GmbH.
1976
Ransomes, Sims & Jefferies Ltd. takes over the shares of the Landré Milieu Group in Holland; the company becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of the English Ransomes works and focuses exclusively on Ransomes products as well as machines and equipment from other manufacturers for lawn and turf care. The company is renamed Ransomes Deutschland GmbH.
1970
The company moves into the new company building at Borkstraße 4 in Münster, where it is still based today.
1962
The company is founded in Münster as Landré & Glinderman GmbH. Shareholders are the firms Ransomes, Sims & Jefferies Ltd. in Ipswich and the Dutch Landré Milieu Group, at the time the importer of Ransomes products in the Netherlands.
As Ransomes mowers had already been in use in Germany for several decades, this company acts as the official distribution partner for Ransomes products. A separate business division distributes marine engines and drive systems. The company works out of a small office with a separate warehouse, and distribution within the Federal Republic of Germany is expanded step by step.
