Combined with an additional, optional indicator system, this equipment provides the basis for TÜV approval under special permit §70 of the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO). This allows approved golf carts to be used on certain paths and roads in public traffic.

In principle, a golf cart can only be approved for restricted road traffic use (on certain routes and paths only) under special permit §70 of the StVZO (electric version only). Unfortunately, full road registration for a golf cart comparable to a normal motor vehicle is not possible under German law.

The exemption permit under §70 StVZO is issued by the local licensing authority (for which we cannot provide any guarantee!) and must be applied for locally by the buyer. We recommend that our customers consult the local licensing authority in advance regarding the granting and scope of the exemption permit.

A precondition for granting the exemption permit is a corresponding TÜV expert report for the golf cart. For this TÜV report, the golf cart must be fitted with a lighting and indicator system and, if applicable, an additional parking brake (depending on the model).

We offer our customers the installation of the complete TÜV equipment (including material and installation costs) as well as the TÜV inspection including the expert report. With this TÜV report, our customers can then go to the local licensing authority.
